3 Preparing the Truck for Operation
WARNING!
Risk of accidents in the hazardous area of the truck
Before the truck can be started, operated or a load lifted, transported or lowered, the
operator must ensure that there is nobody within the hazardous area.

Instruct other people to move out of the hazardous area of the truck. Stop working
with the truck if people do not leave the hazardous area.
u
If people do not leave the hazardous area despite the warning, prevent the truck
from being used by unauthorised people.
3.1 Checks and operations to be performed before starting daily
operation
WARNING!
Damage and other truck or attachment (optional equipment) defects can result
in accidents.
If damage or other truck or attachment (optional equipment) defects are discovered
during the following checks, the truck must be taken out of service until it has been
repaired.

Report any defects immediately to your supervisor.
u
Mark defective truck and take out of service.
u
Do not return the industrial truck to service until you have identified and rectified
the fault.
