4.3 Commissioning
Preparing the truck for operation after delivery or transport
Requirements
– Unload the truck from the transport vehicle, lorry or trailer.
– Install the mast. The mast can only be assembled by the manufacturer's specialist
customer service personnel who have been trained to do this. In exceptional
cases this task may be performed by a customer service organisation authorised
by the manufacturer.
Procedure
• Check the equipment is complete.
• Loosen the transport chains (96).
• Fit the battery if necessary (see page 82).
• Charge the battery (see page 82).
• Check the hydraulic oil level and refill if necessary (see page 346).
• Close the load-handler emergency lowering valve, see page 211.
• Check that all safety mechanisms are present and test them (e. g. tilt safety
devices etc.).
• Start the truck as described (see page 117 and see page 138).
The truck is ready for operation after commissioning.
