CAUTION!
An unsecured battery can result in accidents
If the battery retrainers are not applied in the chassis, the battery may slide out of the
battery compartment when the truck moves.

Apply the battery lock in the chassis.
u
Only short shunting operations can be performed without the battery locks. During
these operations the operator must apply greater concentration.
During operation the "battery lock" sensors monitor if the battery retainers in the
chassis have been applied.
If the battery retainers have not been inserted and latched correctly in the chassis,
the truck will not move. The driver's display shows the "Battery lock not applied"
symbol (103).
Operating the truck without battery locks in place
Requirements
Prepare the truck for operation, see page 138 or see page 139.
Procedure
Determine the travel direction:
Push the travel direction switch (105) right = Travel in load direction
Push the travel direction switch (105) left = Travel in drive direction
Press and hold down on the (104) button below the "battery lock override"
symbol (103).
Press the deadman button (20).
Apply the accelerator pedal (22).
The truck can now travel at slow speed (max. 0,8 km/h).
