Securing the mast for transportation
Requirements
– Secure the fork carriage (19) with a lashing strap (81) to prevent accidental
movement.
– Remove the mast. The mast can only be removed by the manufacturer's specialist
customer service personnel who have been trained to do this. In exceptional
cases this task may be performed by a customer service organisation authorised
by the manufacturer.
– Load the lift mast correctly onto the lorry or trailer.
Tools and Material Required
– Lashing strap with a rated capacity of > 5 t..
– Two pallets with identical dimensions and composition.
– Pallet to stow any supplied parts (forks, guide rollers, etc.).
Procedure
• Set down the lift mast (15) safely:
• Place the mast (15) carefully on two identical pallets (83).
• Secure the lift mast (15) with the lashing straps (82) tightly on the pallets (83).
• Tighten the lashing straps (82) with their tensioners.
• Stow any supplied parts (forks, guide rollers, etc.) on a pallet (90) so that they
cannot slip.
• Place a pallet (90) on the top section of the mast (15).
• Guide the lashing strap (89) through the pallet (90) and around the mast (15)
and secure it.
NOTICE
When assembling the fastening belts be aware of the electric and hydraulic line
routing. Prevent the electric and hydraulic lines from being damaged by the fastening
belts.
• Sling the lashing straps (86) over the bottom section of the mast (15) and attach
to the lashing rings (85) on either side.
• Sling the lashing straps (87) over the top section of the mast (15), if necessary
over the pallet (90) and secure them to the lashing rings (88).
The lift mast is now secured for transport.
