WARNING!
The gases produced during charging can cause explosions
The battery produces a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen (electrolytic gas) during
charging. Gassing is a chemical process. This gas mixture is highly explosive and
must not be ignited.
u
Switch the charging station and truck off first before connecting/disconnecting the
charging cable of the battery charging station to/from the battery connector.
CAUTION!
Short circuits can result in fire
Damaged cables can cause short circuits, setting the truck and battery on fire.
u
Before closing the battery cover make sure that the battery cables are not
damaged.
u
Report any defects immediately to your supervisor.
u
Mark defective truck and take out of service.
u
Do not return the industrial truck to service until you have identified and rectified
the fault
