4.5.8 Output Function Commands
Introduction
This section describes the low-level commands used to program the
instrument. Although the APPLy commands provide the most
straightforward method to program the instrument, the ‘low-level’
commands give you more flexibility to change individual parameters. Based
on the characteristics of the instrument, i.e. combining the two instruments
(pulse generator and function generator) into one, some parameters can be
changed in two different ways. One command set based on the function
generator concept, and the other command set based on the pulse generator
concept to change electrical parameters of signals. To minimize the effort
for test program designer, the instrument accepts both command types for
the same parameters wherever applicable.
