Battery packs
The battery packs (1) are arranged loosely in the
bottom shell of the housing.
Take the battery packs (1) out of the bottom
shell.
The battery voltage can be measured on the PCB
plug (2) after disconnecting it from the control
electronics board (1). The measurement is made
between RD (+) and BK (-). The voltage must range
between 22.5 VDC (cutoff or end-of-discharge
voltage) and 37.8 VDC (end-of-charge voltage).
Each battery pack is equipped with a battery management system (BMS) that prevents deep discharging of
the batteries. If the BMS has not been used for a long period of time, it switches to sleep mode,
disconnecting the batteries from the power connection. In this mode, the voltage is thus not measured.
Sleep mode is automatically ended when the light is supplied with mains voltage over a certain period of
time. If this is not successful even after a longer time, the battery pack must be replaced.
GN and YE serve for internal I²C communication with the control electronics and do not provide any other
values that might be useful for the service technician.
Danger of injury due to short circuit!
Make sure that no short circuit can occur during the measurements!
Non-compliance will void any warranty claims against Gebrüder Martin.
