CRANKCASE SEPARATION
1. Rotate the engine 180° and remove the bolt (1) to the right
side.
2. Rotate the engine back to the left engine side.
3. Remove the nine bolts (2).
NOTE
It is recommended to loosen the bolts crosswise before complete
removal.
4. Pull off the left crankcase (3).
NOTE
If it is necessary use a soft hammer to tap on the case half.
Tap only on reinforced portions of case.
Don’t tap on gasket mating surface.
Work slowly and carefully.
Make sure the case halves separate evenly. If the cases don’t
separate, check for a remaining case screw or tting.
Don’t force.
CRANKSHAFT REMOVAL
1. Pull out the crankshaft (1) of the left crankcase.
