4.4 Transporting the system
This chapter describes the transport over short distances and the preparations for a
transport over long distances.
Preparing the system for transport
Ensure that the following prerequisites are fulfilled before performing the described
tasks:
Spare parts and auxiliaries
Safety shoes
Protective gloves
The collet is equipped with a tool.
1. Switch off the system before transport.
Ensure that a tool is in the collet or a tool is in the tool magazine before switching off
the system.
2. Disconnect all connections of the system (for an overview of the connections refer
to page 68).
3. Install the transport lock beneath the processing head.
4. For transport over longer distances, pack the system in its original packaging.
For transport over short distances, the transport lock does not have to be installed
and the system does not have to be packed.
The system has been prepared for transport.
Moving the system over a short distance
Ensure that the following prerequisite is fulfilled before performing the described tasks:
The system has been prepared for
transport.
1. Lift the system in a group of four using the lifting device.
WARNING! Risk of injury by heavy load!
The system is heavy and bulky and must not be lifted by one person. Incorrect lifting
can cause serious injuries, e.g. crushing injuries or spinal injuries.
Always lift the system with four persons using the enclosed lifting device.
Always wear the recommended safety shoes and protective gloves when lifting
the system.
2. Put the system down on a table trolley. Make sure that the table trolley has a
sufficient load-bearing capacity!
