SECTION 15.5 ISO STANDARDS
Track 1.
Recorded information can be of the alphanumeric type. (ASCII Char 32-95)
Bit density of the recorded information shall be 210 Bits per inch.
Number of data bits making up each character is 6 plus 1 parity check bit.
The total number of data characters, control characters and Longitudinal Redundancy Check (LRC) characters
together must not exceed 79, including Start and End sentinels.
Track 2.
Recorded information can only be of numeric type. (ASCII Char 48-63)
Bit density of the recorded information shall be 75 Bits per inch.
Number of data bits making up each character is 4 plus 1 parity check bit.
The total number of data characters, control characters and Longitudinal Redundancy Check characters together
must not exceed 40, including Start and End sentinels.
Track 3.
Recorded information can only be of numeric type. (ASCII Char 48-63)
Bit density of the recorded information shall be 210 Bits per inch.
Number of data bits making up each character is 4 plus 1 parity check bit.
The total number of data characters, control characters and Longitudinal Redundancy Check characters together
must not exceed 107, including Start and End sentinels.
