SECTION 15.7 FITMENTS TO THE PRINTER.
To ensure maximum flexibility the Magnetic Controller PCB is “added-on” to the main Controller PCB. It connects directly
into the main PCB and is not Printer specific.
Although it is relatively straightforward to fit the magnetic encoding components into the Printer it is extremely difficult to
calibrate (to meet ISO specifications). To do this requires specialist equipment and a thorough knowledge of data
encoding techniques.
It is therefore not recommended that Printers are upgraded from Standard (STD) to Magnetic encoding (MAG) types.
