4.6. Brakes
4.6.1. Hydrostatic brake
◦
The dynamic braking performance of hydrostatic transmission
will slow the vehicle down as necessary in normal conditions.
◦Simply bring the joystick to the neutral position to slow down
and stop your self-propelled machine.
4.6.2. Foot brake
◦
A pedal activates a clutch master cylinder directly ③.
◦Check that the brake circuit tank is filled to level ②.
◦Regularly check brake pad wear (see intervals in the
maintenance log for M24D Hellios).
4.6.3. Parking brake
◦
The parking brake lever acts on the disc brake via a cable.
◦Make sure that the cable moves freely in its duct.
◦You can adjust the plate ③ to tighten the parking brake lever in the cab by 4 to 5 notches.
ADJUST AS DESCRIBED FOR SAFETY REASONS:
◦ CUT THE ENGINE
◦ WEDGE THE SELF-PROPELLED MACHINE
◦ REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY
