Before moving the boom, make sure that nobody is in the immediate vicinity
of the machine, that the machine is not located under an electrical cable,
and that no obstacle exists. Extend/retract the boom with the self-propelled
machine stopped.
5.6.1. Extending the booms
Ensure that the self-propelled machine is on the flat and stopped (zero speed and
joystick at neutral) and that the engine is running at 1 500 rpm.
Set switch to ON, the indicator will light up.
Push to the right or press to activate the left boom. The left boom will leave its support bracket.
Push to the left or press to activate the right boom. The right boom will leave its support
bracket.
If necessary, push upwards or press to raise the entire boom assembly.
Push to the right to check that the boom assembly is locked into position before opening the arms.
Push to the right to extend the main arms.
Push to the left or press to activate the left boom and bring the left boom horizontal
Push to the right or press to activate the right boom and bring the right boom horizontal.
Rotate clockwise to release the boom frame
Press or push downwards to lower the boom assembly to approx. 1 metre above the ground.
Push to the left to extend the outer left arm.
Push to the right to extend the outer right arm.
Push to the left to release the pendular boom assembly and spray boom (pendular movement is then
possible).
Do not move the outer arms at the same time as the inner arms.
Use to correct for slopes.
Push to the left, the boom will tilt as
shown opposite.
Push to the right, the boom will tilt as
shown opposite.
The boom is in the Spray configuration.
