◦After ensuring that the cutout switch is activated, check the level of electrolyte in the battery.
◦In case of doubt, refer to the maintenance log of the M24D/M24D Hellios and the DEUTZ
instruction manual.
5.2. Filling with diesel
To access the tank, unscrew the cap on
the access hatch.
5.3. Starting the engine
5.3.1. Start-up
Before starting the engine:
- Check that nobody is in the immediate vicinity of the machine
- Use the horn to provide a warning that the machine is about to be started.
◦With the joystick in the neutral position.
◦Pre-heating:
- turn the key ④ one notch to the right and then release,
- the alternator charging indicator ② will light up,
- when the pre-heating indicator ① goes
out, start the engine.
◦Turn the ignition key maximum right to start
the engine.
◦When the engine is running, release the key.
◦Maintain a low load and play with the
accelerator ③, the combustion engine and
hydraulic fluid will reach their operating
temperature.
