5.5.2. Driving in elds
The speed mode switch ② must be set to FIELD.
Set the speed selector to position 1 or 2.
Button ① must be set to ON (operating).
◦Flat field
Switch button ② to FIELD.
The front wheels can turn, the rear wheels are blocked straight.
◦Sloped field
Switch button ② to SLOPE.
The front and rear wheels will turn simultaneously and in the same direction.
Button ④ can be used to adjust the angular difference between the front and rear wheels. When this
button is set to position 1, the angular difference between the front and rear wheels is maximum. The
nearer the button is set to position 6, the smaller the angular difference between the front and rear wheels.
In position 6, the front and rear wheels are turned to approximately the same angle.
◦2 or 4 wheels may turn to steer the machine, as preferred
Switch button ② to TURN.
The front and rear wheels will turn simultaneously and in the opposite direction.
◦Turnaround
If the driver presses the pedal (⑥, photo 34), the machine will switch to the TURN configuration,
regardless of the position, SLOPE or FIELD, of button② and regardless of the position of button – ③.
When the driver releases the pedal (⑥, photo 34), the wheels will return to the pre-selected position –
SLOPE OR FIELD.
Practice will allow the driver to judge when to press the pedal to ensure that the rear wheels follow the
front wheels precisely, based on wheel base offset.
Check that nobody is in the immediate vicinity of the wheels when turning the
machine at a standstill.
