ALLOW THE ENGINE TO HEAT UP FOR 5 TO 10 MINUTES BEFORE
STARTING OUT ON THE ROAD.
The hydraulic fluid is not hot when the engine is started.
In cold weather, an audio signal will indicate that the suction filter is saturated (cold oil will struggle to pass through
the cartridge).
Wait until this signal stops before driving off (see page 42, paragraph 6.1.1).
5.3.2. Causes of incorrect start-up
Refer to the instruction manual for the DEUTZ engine, paragraph 7: Anomalies.
5.3.3. Engine speed
Normal idle speed is equal to 900 rpm.
The engine is designed and calibrated to run at 2 400 rpm with a load.
Pump flowrates are calculated for this engine speed of 2 400 rpm, which must be considered as the
permanent speed during spray operations and when driving on the road.
5.3.4. Monitoring the engine
When the engine is running (at idle or with maximum load), the alternator charging indicator must
be out.
The DEUTZ control display is used to monitor the various engine parameters (cooling circuit
temperature and pressure, engine and transmission system temperatures and pressures, etc). Refer to
the user manual for the DEUTZ display.
5.4. Movement
5.4.1. Selecting speeds
