XII. INTER-OPERATION STORAGE
When the operation is complete, you are recommended to protect the equipment.
◦ Wash the entire self-propelled machine with water (pay attention to electrical connections.)
◦ Check levels in casings.
◦ Check tyre pressure.
◦ Switch the spray system to anti-freeze mode (Cf. page 81-82, for details of procedures.)
◦ REFER TO THE ENGINE MANUAL FOR "ENGINE PROTECTION".
◦ Clean the honeycomb of the water coolers, oil and A/C condenser.
◦ Check that battery charge and electrolyte level are satisfactory.
◦ Procure spare lter components.
◦ Run the engine at mid-power for around twenty minutes, once per month.
◦ STORE THE MACHINE WITH A FULL TANK BETWEEN OPERATIONS.
Restart the spray at the beginning of each operation:
◦ Check levels in casings.
◦ Check tyre pressure.
◦ Fill the rinsing tank with fresh water
◦ Fill the hand washer with fresh water
◦ Fill the windscreen washer tank
◦ Prepare a large enough container to hold the amount of anti-freeze in the main tank
Always wear personal protection equipment and carefully comply with the
instructions of the manufacturer of the products to be sprayed
Recovering anti-freeze
◦ With the valve ① closed
◦ Remove the cap ② from the symmetrical half union
◦ Open the drainage valve ① of the tank while taking all
appropriate precautions
◦ When the drainage pipe stops flowing. Close valve ① and fit
the cap ② on the symmetrical half union
