V. STARTING THE ENGINE
It is prohibited to climb on the cab access platforms, the tank or on any other part of
the machine during operation.
5.1. Pre-start checks
◦ The joystick must be in the neutral position
(P).
◦ Check engine oil level (refer to the
maintenance log for the M24D/M24D
Hellios and the DEUTZ instruction manual
if necessary).
◦ Check coolant level (refer to the maintenance
log for the M24D/M24D Hellios and
paragraph 6 of the DEUTZ instruction
manual.
◦ Check the cleanliness of air filter cartridges
(refer to the maintenance log of the M24D/
M24D Hellios and paragraph 6 of the
DEUTZ instruction manual if necessary).
◦Check
hydraulic fluid level (¾ of the level window)
