With the M24D Hellios, in position 1 and 3, 4-wheel drive
applies, regardless of the position of the hare/tortoise switch.
Position 1: working speed in 4-wheel drive
Position 2: working speed in 2-wheel drive
Position 3: working speed in 4-wheel drive
Position 4: road speed
IMPORTANT: at road speed, rear steering is blocked. Align the wheels with the axis
of the self-propelled machine before using road speed.
It is possible to change speed setting using the selector A, however, at a
reasonable speed. On the other hand, the machine must be stopped with the
joystick at neutral to change range using selector B.
Release the parking brake
Move the joystick: forward, and the self-propelled machine will move forward.
backward, and the self-propelled machine will reverse.
If you gradually push the joystick further, the machine will advance at a faster rate.
All of these manoeuvers must be carried out slowly.
On the road, descend slopes slowly. Never allow the self-propelled machine to exceed the maximum
authorised speed (25 km/h or 40 km/h depending on the model). Pull the joystick to neutral.
Stop the machine by bringing the joystick to the neutral position. The self-propelled machine will
slow down and stop. Use the foot brake if necessary.
Before leaving the cab:
- Check that the joystick is in the neutral position
- SET THE PARKING BRAKE (an audio signal will activate if the parking brake
is set with the key in the ignition).
- CUT THE ENGINE.
