Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
ISOLATING TRANSFORMER
TESTING
The Isolating Transformer is in left back
corner, below the contactor, inside the cabinet
of 40 to 65 pound model washers. This
transformer is used to isolate the power legs
to the controls and small components from the
power circuit to the inverter and drive motor.
It is not used to change voltage.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Set the ohmmeter anywhere between the
R X 500 and 1000 scale.
3. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
primary winding. Meter should indicate 22Ω.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
secondary winding. The meter should
indicate 16Ω if set for 208-220VAC primary.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale. Set
digital ohmmeters to lowest scale.
3. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the Red
and Yellow wires. Meter should indicate
410 Milli-Ohms.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the Yellow
and Brown wires. Meter should indicate
220 Milli-Ohms.
5. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the Red
and Brown wires. Meter should indicate
180 Milli-Ohms.
NOTE: Each reading can be ± 20 Milli-Ohms
