21.2 RAM Installation
At some point you may need to increase the motherboard’s SDRAM. Additional
memory can be installed in the Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) connector at
U2; this is between slot 1 and either the ring generator or the power supply.
Procedure 3: Installing New SDRAM
This procedure assumes that you have removed the cover from the chassis
(Procedure 2).
To change memory on the motherboard:
1. Ground yourself to protect the I/O cards from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
2. Insert the upgrade module in the vacated socket (U2).
3. Replace the cover (see Procedure 2) or proceed with other work inside the
chassis.
