It is important for you to prepare all documents properly before processing
them on the transport. Otherwise, you may get more document jams, which
slows down your work.
Removing Staples, etc.

Remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands, pins, and any other foreign
objects from all documents.
Repairing Damaged

It is especially important to fix all before processing them, or you can get a
lot of document jams. The pictures below show the various kinds of damage
you may find and tell you how to fix them.
Jogging Documents for the
Hopper

If you are going to load a stack of documents into the hopper, you must jog
them first. Otherwise, documents may not feed properly, which slows down
your work.
Use a mechanical jogger, set to its highest setting. Jog the documents for
about 15 seconds.
