This section describes how to clean the ink cartridge and contacts if there is
a build up of ink.
Cleaning the Ink Cartridge
Head When Streaks Appear in
the Print

Streaks may appear in the print if there is a build up of ink on the ink cartridge
head. If this occurs, clean the head of the ink cartridge. You will need one of
the lint-free wipes that comes with each package of ink cartridges.
1 Stop running documents for a minute.
2 Run a few documents and check the print quality of the documents.
3 If there are still streaks, go to the next step. If there are no streaks,
continue running documents.
4 Open the endorser covers.
Note: The rear ink cartridge is under the rear cover and the front ink
cartridge under the front cover.
5 Press the Load Cartridge button to raise the ink cartridge if it is in the
lowered position.
