Each module of your transport has been designed to make it easy to remove
documents if they get jammed. This section tells you how to remove jammed
documents from each of the modules.
Note: Once you have removed a jammed document from the track, repair it
as necessary before trying to process it again. (See “Repairing Damaged
Documents” on page 2-2.)
Hopper

To remove a jammed document from the main hopper, just pull it up.
If the document is difficult to remove, you may want to loosen the wiper as
follows:
1 Lift the cabinet cover that is just to the right of the hopper (it swings
up).
2 Push the wiper lever away from the document and hold it there while
you lift the document out.
3 Lower the cover.
Note: Once you have removed a jammed document from the hopper, repair
it as necessary before trying to process it again. (See “Repairing Damaged
Documents” on page 2-2.)
