Inserting and Removing Documents
2
This section tells you how to insert documents into and remove documents
from the following parts of your transport:
• the high performance hopper
• the enhanced document feeder- hand-drop
• the enhanced document feeder- hopper
• the stager, if you have a reader/image-lift/stager module
• the pockets.
High Performance Hopper
2
There are two main methods of loading documents for processing on the
transport. The method used depends on the program controlling the transport.
Method 1: Batch Processing
2
For automated, batch-processing applications, up to 2500 documents can be
loaded into the main hopper:
1 Remove staples and paper clips.
2 Check for dog-ears on the bottom lead edge by fanning the documents.
Remove these as they may cause track interrupts
3 Push the hopper weight back.
4 Place the new documents into the hopper, with the tops tilted slightly
backward.
5 Slide the documents forward, letting the weight move to hold them in
place.
