6 Pull the ribbon spool up out of the top of the cassette.
• If any ribbon remains on the spool, unwind it and set the empty
ribbon spool and the black core aside.
7 Remove the tape from the end of the used ribbon.
8 Lift out the spool of used ribbon, then carefully pull the remaining ribbon
from the encoder.
9 Separate the used ribbon from the white spool and discard the used
ribbon along with its black core.
• Set the white ribbon spool aside.
