4-3 Customizing Buttons and Dials
Assigning Roles to the Front and Rear Dials
(K Dial Function)
Choose the roles performed by the front and rear dials. You can also choose the
function selected using the Fn lever (P. 475). You can also choose the operations
performed during playback or when menus are displayed.
The functions assigned to controls using this item are available only in modes
P
,
A
,
S
,
M
, and
B
(still photography modes). The functions assigned using [n Dial
Function] in the n video menu take effect in n (movie) mode (P. 424).
The roles that can be performed by the dials in photo shooting and q playback
modes are listed below. You can choose separate options for Positions 1 and 2 on
the Fn lever.
