µMPX (Omnia microMPX)
Omnia Micro MPX is an optional codec that can send a compressed composite MPX signal (including RDS information) over
IP connections as small as 320kbps.
Omnia.9 is the first hardware processor to offer an encoder option for this revolutionary new codec. At the time of this writing,
a µMPX decoder is available on our website as a software application, with Omnia hardware decoders coming soon.
µMPX retains all the advantages of the industry leading stereo generator in the Omnia.9, including RDS and auto-pilot, while
maintaining competitive loudness and stallar audio quality.
As it grows in acceptance, µMPX will provide new cost effective STL solutions to feed lean, routable IP based composite signals
point to point, or to an entire radio network.
AM Options Menu
In the AM Main Options menu, you can engage or turn off the NRSC pre-emphasis, set high and low pass filters, invert
input and/or output, set positive peaks, select output from processor or test generator, and set 100% modulation output level
reference.
