7 Adjusting Settings
Low reservoir level
e Pod and PDM sound an advisory alarm when the insulin level in your Pod
reaches the low reservoir setting. is setting can range from 10 to 50 units.
1. Home > Settings > System setup > Alerts/reminders > Low reservoir
2. Use the Up/Down button to specify the level of Pod insulin at which you
would like to be notied, then press Enter.
Pod Auto-o
Consult your healthcare provider prior to changing the Auto-o setting. is
feature requires active participation on your part. See "Auto-o " on page 137 to
familiarize yourself with how this feature works.
To enable or disable Auto-o:
1. Home > Settings > System setup > Alerts/reminders > Auto-o
2. To disable Auto-o, select O and press Enter.
3. To enable Auto-o, use the Up/Down button to specify the length of time for
the countdown timer. is setting can range from 1 to 24 hours.
Example: If you choose three hours, you must activate your PDM once every
three hours, day and night, to prevent the Auto-o alarm.
4. Press Enter.
Warning: You must use the PDM within 15 minutes of hearing the Auto-o
advisory alarm. If you do not, the PDM and Pod sound a hazard alarm and
your Pod stops delivering insulin.
Bolus reminders
Bolus reminders prompt you to eat. If bolus reminders are enabled and the PDM
has not delivered a bolus during a specied time interval, the PDM beeps and
generates a message. e time interval can range from 1 to 4 hours, and you can
set up to six separate bolus reminder time intervals.
Enable or disable bolus reminders
1. Home > Settings > System setup > Alerts/reminders > Bolus reminders
2. To enable all bolus reminders, choose On and press Select.
3. To disable all bolus reminders, choose O and press Select. e PDM
remembers any previously set bolus reminders for later use.
