7 Adjusting Settings
Temp basal conguration
To turn o the temp basal feature or change your temp basal conguration:
1. Home > Settings > System setup > Bolus/basal/calcs > Temp basal
2. Select a conguration for your temp basal:
% Specify temp basals as a percentage of the currently active Basal
Program.
U/hr Specify temp basals as a at rate for the duration of the temp basal.
O Turn o the ability to use temp basals or temp basal presets.
3. Press Select.
See "Temporary basal rates" on page 139 for a description of how temp basals
work.
Temp basal presets
If there is a temp basal that you use oen, you can create a "Temp basal preset" for
rapid activation in the future. To activate a temp basal preset, see "Activate a temp
basal preset" on page 57.
Create a new temp basal preset
1. Home > Settings > Presets > Temp basal presets
2. Use the Up/Down button to scroll down to [add new] at the bottom of the
list. Press New.
Note: You can only have seven temp basal presets. If you already have seven,
[add new] does not appear. If necessary, you can delete an existing one.
3. Enter a name for the new temp basal preset (see "Entering text" on page 6).
Press Next.
4. If temp basals are congured as percentages (%), select Increase or Decrease
to specify whether this preset will deliver more or less insulin than the active
Basal Program.
5. Use the Up/Down button to set the desired temporary change in the insulin
delivery rate. Press Next.
6. Use the Up/Down button to set the duration for the temp basal preset. Press
Next.
Note: You will be able to modify the duration of a temp basal preset when
you invoke it.
7. Press Save.
