PAGING FEATURES – SUMMARY
Description Paging allows a user to make a voice announcement to many
people at the same time. Their message is announced over the built-
in speakers of proprietary telephones and/or an external speaker
(external pager). The paged person can answer the page from a
nearby telephone. Making and answering a page is possible from
either a proprietary or single line telephone. The user can page with
a call on hold in order to transfer the call (Paging and Transfer).
It is also possible to deny a page.
The paging features are classified as follows.

Description Allows the user to make a voice announcement from the speakers
of proprietary telephones and external paging device (external
pager).
Conditions • A confirmation tone is sent to the extensions, when a page is sent or
answered.
• A confirmation tone is sent to the external pager, before the voice
announcement. The tone can be disabled.
• A ringing or busy extension cannot receive a page.
