MacBAT 5 – USER GUIDE. Version 1.0
Whenever in this document is spoke of certain terms, they are related to following definitions:
EVC, Electronic Volume Converter, Converter, Device – MacBAT 5 Electronic Volume Converter
Firmware – program which is uploaded to MacBAT 5
Software – ConfIT! application, installed on PC with Windows system, for readout and configuration of MacBAT 5
App, Application, Mobile app – ConfIT! mobile application, installed on smartphone with Android system, for readout and configuration
of MacBAT 5
Kit, mounting kit – mounting plate adjusted to install MacBAT 5 in both version with its usage to the gas pipe
Extension module – EM-1, EM-2 or EM-2Ex extension modules for extending the functionalities of MacBAT 5 EVC
Interface – transmission interface for the RS485 communication between the PC and EVC
Optical head – Optical Interface according to IEC 62056 to read the EVC through infrared
Barrier – INT-S3 barrier for signals separation between Normal zone and Ex Zone
Valve – three way valve used to provide safe way of delivering pressure from pressure receiving point in gas meter to the MacBAT 5
pressure sensor port with minimizing the risk of pressure burst on the sensor
