Execute one of the following actions:
o
To verify the determined speed:
Tap [Strobe] in the context line.
o
To measure the speed at the vibration measurement location:
Tap [MENU] in the context line.
Tap [Strobe / Speed].
o
To measure the speed at the speed measurement location:
Tap on he measurement location icon or press the Enter key.
The stroboscope switches on. The flashing frequency corresponds to the frequency
of the selected speed (e.g. 1200 rpm = 20 Hz). The screen for setting the flashing
frequency appears:
Flashing frequency adjustment Operation
1: Change frequency con-
tinuously.
2: Change frequency by ±1
Hz (cpm).
3: Halve/double the fre-
quency.
4: Enter speed manually.
Adjust the flashing frequency such that the illuminated objects appear static. Al-
ternatively, the speed can also be entered manually in the number editor (4).
Click on OK to apply the adjusted frequency as speed value.
Notes
Objects suitable for stroboscopic measurements: Fan blades, coupling screws,
measurement marks on the shaft.
If several identical objects pass by the stroboscope during a revolution (e.g.,
coupling screws), make sure that the still does not “flicker”. Only if the still is ab-
solutely static and sharp, the flashing frequency corresponds to a full revolution
and/or an integer multiple of it.
Example: In the case of coupling screws, the different position of the screw heads
causes flickering. The flashing frequency only corresponds to a multiple of the spa-
cing, different screws are illuminated, whose screw heads are tightened at dif-
ferent positions. The still flickers and is blurred.
