Without Using a Flash Memory Card
If there is no flash memory card, follow the steps below.
1. Execute SP5990 to print out all SMC Data Lists.
2. Open SP mode 5801.
3. Press the number for the item that you want to initialize.
4. Press Execute and turn the main switch off and back on.
5. Make sure that you do the following:
• Do the printer and scanner registration and magnification adjustments (! 3
Replacement and Adjustment, “Copy Adjustments”).
• Do the touch screen calibration (! 3 Replacement and Adjustment, “touch
screen calibration”).
• Referring to the SMC data lists, re-enter any values, which had been
changed from their factory settings.
• Do SP 20012 (ID Sensor Initial Setting) and SP49111 (HDD media check).
• Do the white level adjustment (! Section 6.8.2 Standard White Density
Adjustment)
6. Check the copy quality and the paper path, and do any necessary adjustments.
