When Problems Such As Dot Drop-out are Not Cleared Up
When aws in the dot pattern such as dot drop-out are not cleared up even after performing cleaning using the
cleaning function (normal, medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning, perform the operation described below.
Procedure
Discard the discharged uid in the drain bottle.
By referring to P. 76, "Disposing of Discharged Ink", dispose of the discharged uid. Start from step
.
CAUTION
Be sure to discard the discharged ink at this step.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Be sure to dis-
card the discharged ink at this step. If you do not discard the discharged ink at
this step, the discharged ink might overows from the drain bottle during the
subsequent process..

Press several times until the screen shown on
the left appears.

Check that the drain bottle is empty and press .
The screen shown in the gure appears.
When it nishes, the screen shown in the gure appears again.
Press in this order to go back to the original screen.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Perform this operation only when dot
drop-out cannot be cleared up even after performing cleaning using the cleaning function (normal,
medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning.
