When Problems Such As Dot Drop-out are Not Cleared Up
When aws in the dot pattern such as dot drop-out are not cleared up even after performing cleaning using the
cleaning function (normal, medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning, perform the operation described below.
Procedure
Discard the discharged uid in the drain bottle.
By referring to P. 76, "Disposing of Discharged Ink", dispose of the discharged uid. Start from step

CAUTION
Be sure to discard the discharged ink at this step.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Be sure to dis-
card the discharged ink at this step. If you do not discard the discharged ink at
this step, the discharged ink might overows from the drain bottle during the
subsequent process..

Press several times until the screen shown on
the left appears.

Check that the drain bottle is empty and press .
The screen shown in the gure appears.
When it nishes, the screen shown in the gure appears again.
Press in this order to go back to the original screen.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Perform this operation only when dot
drop-out cannot be cleared up even after performing cleaning using the cleaning function (normal,
medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning.
