2.8.3 Installing the Optional USB Memory
When using the USB memory for the first time, format the USB memory in the memory card mode. Refer
to Section 4.2.11 Memory Mode for details.
1 Power off the printer.
2 Open the top cover.
3 Insert the optional USB memory into the
USB connector (Series A plug, 2.0
High-speed) on the front of the printer.
Contact your SATO reseller for the recommended
USB memory.
4 Close the top cover.
To remove the USB memory from the printer
Power off the printer before removing the USB memory.
CAUTION
Do not remove the USB memory while the printer is accessing the data in the USB memory. Doing so may
result in data corruption.
