Changing the
battery fuse
Warning
This work may only be performed by appropriately qualified personnel.
To exchange the battery fuse, the battery must be removed. The procedure for doing
this is the same as that already described in the section "Installing / exchanging the
battery".
Removing the
battery
- First open the top panel (see section 7).
- Now remove the battery retaining angle.
- Disconnect the battery cable (2).
- Remove the battery from the case. Remove the adhesive strip from the battery
housing and pull the latter apart.
Exchanging the
fuse
- Now pull out the faulty fuse (1). Take a new 10-A fuse from the tool bag and fit it in
position.
Danger
Use only original fuses!

Installing the bat-
tery
- Re-assemble the battery housing. Wrap the adhesive tape around the housing five
times to ensure the battery is gas-tight. Each layer of tape should be offset approx.
5 mm.
- Place the battery in the case and secure with the retaining angle.
- Plug the battery cable (2) back in.
- Close the top panel (see section 7).
