Fault messages
on the monitor
The following pages contain explanations to the
fault messages
displayed on the
monitor, together with notes on remedying the faults. The fault messages are arranged
according to the operations in which they occur.
Note that a number of fault messages can have different causes and symptoms and
may therefore be listed more than once on the following pages.

These messages are displayed if the
splicer has detected an internal fault or
error.
Switch off the splicer and
then switch it back on
again. If the fault is re-
peated, the splicer must be
sent to the service center
for repair.
Notify the service center of
the fault number displayed.
Battery monitor-
ing,
remaining ca-
pacity 0 %. The
splicer switches
off automati-
cally
The battery can-
not be charged.
The AC line
adapter is not
working. The
battery is not
being charged.
The display appears
even though the
splicer is being
powered from the
AC supply.
Check whether the green
charging indicator is lit. If
not, check the AC supply
and the primary fuse.
The battery is
faulty.
AC power operation
is possible.
Change the battery.
Reference
switch left/
right fault
The slides do not
reach the final
position.
Check whether a
fiber is still inserted
at switch-on.
If no fiber is inserted, push
both slides outwards by
hand at switch-on. Then
switch the splicer off and
on again to check whether
the fault has been cor-
rected. If the fault occurs
again, the splicer must be
repaired at the service
center.
