The index IND contains a "0" for non-indexed parameters; a 8-bit long index value is entered (in
the low-order byte) for indexed parameters.
Bit 15 (Page Select bit) has a special function. This is used to identify parameter numbers higher
than 1999 (see above for details of recoding parameter numbers).
Exception: In the case of cyclical PROFIBUS services, the L and H byte sequence is reversed (see
"Start-up of PROFIBUS boards").

An index value of 255 means that the request applies to all indices of the relevant parameter. In the
case of a modification request, the parameter values for all indices of the parameter must be
transferred. Conversely, the drive supplies all index values in its response to a read request.
The parameter value PWE is treated like a double word (PWE1 and PWE2). The high word is set
to 0 when a single word is transferred.
