3.2.3 Connecting the analyzer
The PFA-100 System can be operated on a supply voltage (AC voltage with
50Hz or 60Hz) of 100–130V or 200–250V.
1. Connect the analyzer to the power supply using one distribution box.
Failure of the analyzer due to bad power supply.
• The conditions for operation relating to the power supply must be strictly
observed, see Chapter 3.2.1.2.
• Use of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is strongly recommended
in regions where the conditions specified in Chapter 3.2.1.2 cannot be
provided.
Note: The use of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is
recommended. Contact Siemens service for details of requirements.
Note: The PFA-100 System must be connected with tested cables in
which an IEC 320, C13 plug is used on the analyzer side and a
nationally typical plug with PE contact on the other side.
Setting the voltage incorrectly can result in damage to the analyzer.
• Do not connect the analyzer to the power supply until the correct
operating voltage has been set.
