5 Service and warranty
This chapter contains information about:
• The Siemens service (Chapter 5.1)
• Warranty (Chapter 5.2)
• Ordering of spare parts (Chapter 5.3)
• Disposal of the analyzer (Chapter 5.4)
5.1 Siemens service
Siemens and its local offices abroad undertake to provide a repair service
for installed analyzers during normal working hours from Monday to Friday
with the exception of public holidays. Contact your local Siemens office for
service calls outside these times. Siemens and its local offices will keep you
advised of the availability and cost of software updates. In accordance with
our service agreement, qualified personnel will be on call.
5.2 Warranty
Siemens or its agent or authorized dealer guarantees that, if used in
accordance with the instruction manual, the analyzers will have no material
or processing faults after installation. The warranty does not apply to
damage arising from:
• Accidents, negligence or non-observance of the instruction manual
• The use of non-approved reagents or consumables
• Operating the analyzer in an environment which conflicts with the
specifications of the instruction manual
Repairs and service work may only be carried out by persons authorized by
Siemens.
Restricted warranty on wearing
parts
There is a warranty with a restricted duration for the following wearing parts:
• Dade PFA Priming Cartridges
• Dade PFA Vacuum Cups
• PFA Cassettes
• PFA O-Rings and PFA Cleaning Pads
• PFA-100 Printer Ribbon and PFA-100 Printer Paper
The warranty term for these wearing parts is laid down by the local Siemens
office in your country as part of a service or maintenance contract.
