8.1 Test request with patient ID number option disabled
If the Patient ID number option was disabled in the setup menu (refer to
Chapter 7.2.4), the system will not prompt for the patient ID number.
8.1.1 Single test
To start a single test, proceed as follows:
1. Press the softkey located next to Run on the System Ready display.
The analyzer will start the test.
When the testing is complete, the system will print and display the results
along with an ID No. assigned by the analyzer and the test type.
2. Remove the cassette carefully from the carousel.
3. Holding the cassette in one hand, remove the PFA test cartridge by
gently pulling the bottom of the PFA test cartridge toward you until it
unsnaps.
4. Dispose of the PFA test cartridge in a suitable biohazard waste
container.
8.1.2 Duplicate test or two test types, same patient ID
To perform a duplicate test or two different test types with the same patient
ID, proceed as follows:
1. Press the softkey located next to Run Duplicate on the System Ready
display.
The analyzer will start testing and display the processing stage of the
sample (incubation or performing testing sample A or sample B).
When the testing is complete, the analyzer will print and display the results
along with an ID No. assigned by the analyzer and the test type.
