5.4 Disposal of the analyzer
If the analyzer will not be put into service again, proceed as follows:
1. Put the analyzer out of operation as described in (Chapter 3.3).
Infection by contaminated parts of the analyzer.
Death or serious injury can result.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, that is, gloves,
protective clothing, safety glasses, and mask.
• Pay attention to the manufacturer's information regarding the gloves'
compatibility with the materials and liquids used.
• Make sure to handle this material according to the applicable safety
standards and regulations.
• Always decontaminate the parts before transport or disposal.
• Contact Siemens service if you need support.
Irritation of the skin and mucous membranes. Depending on the
application, parts of the analyzer may have been in contact with
hazardous chemical material.
Minor or moderate injury can result.
• Make sure to handle this material according to the applicable safety
standards and regulations.
• Always decontaminate the parts before transport or disposal.
• Contact Siemens service if you need support.
Pollution due to incorrect waste disposal.
Damage to the environment can result.
• Do not treat electrical and electronic equipment as unsorted municipal
waste.
• Collect waste electrical and electronic equipment separately and return
it to Siemens.
