Because eight–channel modules do not have a two–wire connection, you
need an external distribution block for them.
The eight channels of a module are numbered from .0 to .7. One terminal on
the terminal block is assigned to each channel. The terminal assignment and
the connection diagram are printed on the front panel of the module.
When connecting eight–channel input modules, you must connect a sensor to
terminal 1 via the L+ terminal strip.
A sensor is connected to an input module with start address 3.0. The sensor is
connected to channel 4 (address I 3.4).
