4.1 Identification
Identification
The dialog box Identification > Device provides you with an overview of device-specific
information.
You can use the overview for plant documentation, for example.
4.2 Marking
Marking
● Plant identifier: Synonymous with a device that you can insert
● Location designation: Designation of the installation location
● Description: User-specific details about the operating unit
● Installation date: User-specific information about when the device was installed.
4.3 Device
Device
Overview of the device-specific information. This overview can, for example, be used for
system documentation.
Name of the manufacturer (SIEMENS)
Order number Order number (MLFB) of tn device (MLFB = Maschinen Lesbare
Fabrikate-Bezeichnung; corresponds to the order number)
Short code Short code of the device (SIMOCODE pro V PN)
Profile within PNO (PROFINET International)
Designation of the higher-level device family, e.g. devices
Device subfamily Designation of the device subfamily below the device family, e.g.
Designation of the device class below the sub family
Provided by the manufacturer
