Miscellaneous - General
Meaning/Possible cause/Acknowledgement/Error processing
External Fault 1 to 6 A signal is pending at the input (socket) of the standard
function.
External fault 1, 2, 3, 4,5 or 6.
Check the motor feeder.
Acknowledgement depends on parameterization.
Further information: External Fault (1 to 6).
Bus The PROFINET communication has been or is being
interrupted.
Check the PROFINET connection (plugs, cables, etc).
Acknowledge with "Reset", if Auto-Reset is not activated.

PLC/DCS The PLC which controls the feeder was or is in the STOP state.
Check the operating status of the PLC.
Acknowledge with "Reset", if Auto-Reset is not activated.

Hardware fault Basic Unit The hardware of the SIMOCODE pro basic device is defective.
Module fault At least one SIMOCODE pro module is not ready for use.
Possible causes:
• Connecting cable is defective or has not been plugged in
correctly.
• Module is defective. Replace the module.
Acknowledge with "Reset".
Temporary components Fault - Temporary components (memory module, addressing
plug, PC cable).
Replace the defective component.
Acknowledge with "Reset".
Configuration fault The configured device configuration does not match the current
configuration.
Approach:Check if all configured components are present.
Check the actual configuration using "Configuration".
Acknowledge with "Reset".

analog module 1/2 open circuit A wire break has occurred in the analog value measuring
circuit.
Check the measuring transducer and the measuring circuit.
Acknowledge with "Reset".
