The following Block Outputs parameter hold return code and Error/Busy status after
executing a Manual reset:
• QER_RSDST
• QER_RCSST
• QER_WSDST
• QER_RD
• QER_WR
Handling permanent error:
Any error other than a temporary error is considered as a permanent error. This type of
error does not correct itself. A new call of the SFC will only be successful after the user has
eliminated the error.
On the detection of permanent errors during read or write the error status
is transferred to output parameters QERR_RSD/QERR_WSD/QERR_RCS/QER_RSDST/
QER_RCSST/QER_WSDST.
Monitoring Temporary and Permanent errors:
• Read or write data record error status is transferred to output parameters QER_RSDST/
QER_WSDST/QER_RCSST at the block.
• The occurrence of read or write data error is displayed at the faceplate overview bar, standard
view status and block icon.
• An alarm will be triggered for Temporary error (after 300 Cycles)/permanent errors:
– <Block comment> Read Failure
– <Block comment> Write Failure
• During temporary error, Update buttons at Statistic, Faults and Warnings faceplate view will
be disabled.
• During temporary error, the operator cannot update the Operating hours, Number of Starts
and number of Overload Trips in the Statistic faceplate view.
• If temporary/Permanent error occurs during writing of DS133 (Changing values for
Operating hours, Number of Starts and Number of Overload Trips), the old values will be
returned in statistic faceplate view.
Exclusive Reset:
The Exclusive reset can be triggered irrespective of Temporary/Permanent error. This provides
the user with the option to reset the blocks Read/Write calls to ensure there is no active call
occupying the CPU work memory.
The temporary/permanent error at read data record can also be reset exclusively by setting:
• RWER_RST = 16#03
The temporary/permanent error at write data record can also be reset exclusively by setting:
• RWER_RST = 16#04
