SMC20 Sensor Module
The SMC20 Sensor Module is used for determining the
actual motor speed and the path length.
The following encoders are supported by the SMC20 Sen-
sor Module:
• Incremental encoder sin/cos 1Vpp
• Absolute encoder EnDat
• SSI encoder

SMC30 Sensor Module
The SMC30 Sensor Module is used for determining the
actual motor speed.
The following encoders are supported by the SMC30 Sen-
sor Module:
• TTL encoder
• HTL encoder
• SSI encoder
(→ See Chapter "Options", Section "K50, SMC30 Sensor
Module for determining the actual motor speed")

VSM10 Voltage Sensing
Module cabinet-mounted
The VSM10 Voltage Sensing Module is used for operation
of a permanent-field synchronous machine without encod-
er with the requirement for starting in a running machine
(flying restart function).
For commissioning, the permanent-field synchronous
machine without encoder must be entered, and the "flying
restart" function must be activated via p1200.
(→ See Chapter "Options", Section "K51, VSM10 Voltage
Sensing Module cabinet-mounted")

additional SMC30 Sensor
Module
The additional SMC30 Sensor Module is used for safe
actual value acquisition when using the Safety Integrated
extended functions.

auxiliary voltage generat-
ing unit in the Line Con-
nection Module
In order to supply the auxiliary voltage supply system with
the appropriate voltages, the phase must be connected to
the corresponding transformer tap.
Make sure that the correct voltage is applied.
(→ See Chapter "Options", Section "K76, auxiliary voltage
generation in the Line Connection Module")
