Self-diagnosis display
Your camcorder has a self-diagnosis display
function.
This function displays the current state of your
camcorder as a 5_digit code (a combination of a
letter and figures) on the screen or in the display
window.
If a 5-digit code is displayed, check the following
list of codes. The last two digits (indicated by DD)
diffi_r depending on the state of your eamcorder.

Contact your Sony dealer or local
authorized Sony facility.
Fire-digit display Cause and/or Corrective Actions
C:04:E]E] • You are using a battery pack that is not an
"InfoLITHIUM" battery pack.
"_ Use an" InfoLITHIUM" battery pack (p. 14, 189).
C:21:E]E] • Moisture condensation has occurred.
-_ Remove the cassette and leave your camcorder ['or at
least one hour to acclimatize (p. 194).
C:22:[313 * The video heads are dirty.
Clean the heads using tile Sony V8 25CLD cleaning
cassette (optional) (p. 195).
C:31:EtEt • A malfunction other than the above that you can service
C:32:ElKl has occurred.
-_ Remove the cassette and insert it again, then operate
your camcorder.
-_ Disconnect the power cord of the AC power adaptor or
remove the hatte_N pack. After reconnecting the power
source, operate your cameorder.
E:20:IEl[3 • A malfunction that you cannot service has occurred.
E:61:EtEt -_ Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony
E:62:EtEt service facility and inform them of the 5-digit code.

If you are unable to rectify the problem even if you t_y corrective actions a few times,
contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.
