Check generator:
resistance between engine ground
and generator connection
about 0.5– 1 ohm?
Start
Do both handles warm up?
Measure resistance of individual
heating elements with ohmmeter
(on machines with carburetor heating,
disconnect wire from carburetor
heating element),
